Returning for the fifth year in a row is the only event dedicated to Fieldwork in the UK – The Weird and Wonderful World of Fieldwork.

After five successful years, with keynote speakers ranging from Colin Parry MBE, Jack Straw OBE and Green & Black’s founder Jo Fairley, this year’s event will be returning once again – but this time it’s even Weirder and more Wonderful than ever.

Taking place at London Zoo, on the 13th of October, this year’s event promises to be our biggest and best to date. We have already confirmed our keynote speaker – the inspirational Matt Hampson will be joining us to discuss his career as a Rugby Union prop and the subsequent injury which led him to become a prominent disability rights campaigner, philanthropist and motivational speaker. We’ll have more news on speakers in the coming months and will be sure to keep you updated.

Organised by Acumen Fieldwork, “The Weird and Wonderful World of Field” is a conference to acknowledge the important role that fieldworkers play within the Research industry. Away from the traditional topics of interviewer holiday pay and data protection issues, the event offers an opportunity to enter a hidden realm and probe the real themes at the heart of fieldwork.
